Own Your Fertility

That's our mission - pure & simple. To empower women to own their fertility by providing an empowering egg freezing experience coupled with fertility wellness.

That's why we created Trellis. A place dedicated to women like you, who want to get a head start on their future family while they're still busy designing and creating the other parts of their lives. Not only is fertility preservation possible, but at Trellis it's an empowering, positive journey.

How Trellis Hatched

A few years ago our founder, Shannon Delage, seemingly had it all. At age 35, she had an Ivy League degree, a successful healthcare career, and a new husband.

However she quickly discovered that she had abnormally low ovarian reserve (low potential to generate eggs) making it extremely difficult for her to have a child.

What ensued was 5 difficult years of trying to conceive through IVF with endless appointments, injections, and heartache.

From the compassionate care of her physician, learnings from her fertility challenges and her consumer healthcare expertise, came the inklings of Trellis. A supportive, modern new approach to planning for your future family.

Our difference

Why Trellis?

Because a trellis supports life.

At Trellis we provide a strong, welcoming support system of women and fertility specialists to help you create a life full of possibilities.

Tapping her experience in consumer healthcare, Shannon and her team mapped out a way to revamp the egg freezing experience. Armed with a mix of cutting-edge science and a firm belief that wellness is integral to fertile health, they've carved out a modern new way to prepare for a future family.

Management Team

Shannon Delage

FOUNDER

Career Highlights
A healthcare and fertility maven, Shannon’s personal and professional path led her to the fertility industry. Prior to hatching Trellis, she served as EVP for IntegraMed Fertility, where she led marketing, digital product, and technology. Her diverse background includes experiences at Sotheby’s, Time Inc., WebMD and Bain & Company. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University with a BA, and received her MBA in Healthcare Management at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Why I created Trellis:
This is all very personal for me; I’ve struggled with fertility myself and was lucky enough to have a fertility doctor who put my needs first and made the process more manageable. Inspired by my own doctor, I wanted to give women a more modern, humanized consumer experience. At IntegraMed, I had access to the top labs and fertility talent in the country, and wanted to share that with women before they face fertility challenges, which can happen much earlier than you think.
My “Someday Family” Journey:
I got married and started trying to have children in my mid-30s. Although I didn’t know it at the time, I had diminished ovarian reserve, meaning I had an abnormally low eggs still left in my ovaries. My very low levels of AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) confirmed my diminished ovarian reserve diagnosis. So for the next five years, we tried a number of fertility treatments. After much frustration and heartache, we finally welcomed our son, Charlie, into our lives in 2017. If I had known in my late 20s about my diminished ovarian reserve, I would have definitely done egg freezing. I want to make fertility preservation a reality for all women.

Jennifer Huang
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Career Highlights:
Passionate about creating compelling women’s lifestyle experiences, Jennifer’s 15-year pre-Trellis career included stints at the global luxury haircare brand Alterna, as well as L’Oréal and Kraft Foods. She received her BA from Northwestern University and her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Why I Joined Trellis:
I couldn’t resist the chance to bring my experience in aspirational women’s brands to transforming the traditional healthcare model.

My “Someday Family” Journey:
After finding myself single at age 36, I froze my eggs. It’s not the easiest process, but it’s empowering to have options “in the bank.” Today, my husband and I have a cheeky toddler named Benjamin. And while I haven’t used my frozen eggs yet, I’m grateful to have still have them if we need them.

My Self-Care Splurge:

Scarlett Leung
HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Career Highlights:
Scarlett has a strong track record of leading high-growth strategies in consumer businesses across fashion, beauty and grocery with a customer experience focused approach. She has managed and worked in businesses in almost 20 countries. Scarlett received her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus on branding and operations strategy.

Why I Joined Trellis:
I knew that in my next role, I wanted to be at a mission driven business that would allow me to help other people. After witnessing many of my best girlfriends go through the process of egg freezing or considering this option, but without the support to help them make the right decision, I jumped at the opportunity to join this amazing female-founded business so that I could make a difference in this experience.

My “Someday Family” Journey:
I always knew I wanted to be a mother. In fact, when my younger sister of 5 years was born, I decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to practice my parenting skills. My career is definitely my top priority right now, so I am thankful for advancements in medicine that will allow me to not have to worry about my biological clock.

My Self-Care Splurge:
Monthly facials at Heyday and personal training sessions at Equinox.

Brad Senstra
HEAD OF HEALTHCARE OPERATIONS
Career Highlights:
After receiving his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Dakota State University, Brad got his Master’s in Health Administration at University of Washington. He currently serves as Head of Healthcare Operations for Trellis as well as Executive Director of Seattle Reproductive Medicine.

Why I Joined Trellis:
I’m all about choices in family planning, and I’m thrilled to be part of this outstanding team. Trellis provides options so women can live the lives they want to, both now and in the future.

My “Someday Family” Journey:
After marrying in my late 20s, my wife and I enjoyed eight exciting kid-free years before deciding to start a family. Though we’re now blessed with three boys who bring us endless joys and challenges, had we known about egg-freezing, we could have overcome many of the hurdles we had getting pregnant.

My Self-Care Splurge:
Attending concerts by myself and dancing like no one (I know) is watching!

Dominique Brunelle
DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES & STRATEGY
Career Highlights:
After a lengthy stint at IntegraMed – she joined right after graduating from Colby College – Dominique recently pivoted to Trellis. Having written her senior thesis on “The Myths of Infertility,” she is heavily focused on healthcare, and is currently pursuing her MBA at NYU Stern School of Business.

Why I Joined Trellis:
Throughout my six years in the fertility space, I’ve been privileged to learn so much about wellness. Still, I’ve found that so little of that information is available to my peers. I’m excited to help bring that wealth of knowledge to women my age.

My “Someday Family” Journey:
I’m aware of my fertility “window,” but I don’t let it overwhelm me. All I’m learning through my work with Trellis enables me to understand when I may need to take action.

My Self-Care Splurge:
Peloton and Barry’s Bootcamp classes. “Boutique” fitness can really stretch your budget, but I think it’s so worth it!

Casey Tarnas

With a focus on consumer and lifestyle brands, she has successfully helped to launch numerous products by curating strategic campaigns, partnerships and events for media and consumers. Why I Joined Trellis:
As a self-proclaimed feminist, I’m so excited to help give women the empowerment tools to make informed choices about their future family.

My “Someday Family” Journey:
Having a family has always been a top priority for me. In fact, I’ve wanted to be a mom since about age 3! While I’m not quite there yet, I love knowing I have options and the resources to plan for when that time arrives.

Self-Care Splurge:
Regular classes at Barry’s Bootcamp and Switch, and gel manicures!
