Empowered Egg Freezing

Advanced egg freezing technology with top-tier fertility specialists – that’s our baseline. What sets us apart is that it’s designed around you. Flexible hours, one-stop medication management and a dedicated staff ensure a supportive, empowering egg freezing experience.

First, we conduct a blood test to assess your levels of these key hormones:

  • Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH): With this test, you actually want a low score, not high. Why? Because high levels of FSH indicate that the hypothalamus and pituitary gland are working to stimulate a shrinking egg supply. If your FSH is higher than 10, your ovarian reserve could be in decline. This test is taken on Day 2 or 3 of your cycle.
  • Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH): This is the biggie – the most accurate predictor of your current egg supply. AMH is secreted from small antral" follicles in the ovaries at the start of your cycle. Unlike with FSH, a high AMH is good news and signals a good egg supply.
  • Estradiol (E2): This hormone is a sign of follicle growth, and is essential to interpret FSH. It’s ideal to have a level below 80.

Next, it’s an ultrasound for a look inside your ovaries.

  • Resting (Antral) Follicle Count: With this test, the doctor can count the number of resting / unstimulated ovarian follicles at the beginning of your period. Ideally, there are 12-18 follicles between both ovaries, although good egg freezing results can be obtained with numbers both higher and lower than this.

Fertility Facts

Maybe you're launching a startup or still searching for "The One." The point is:

  • As you age, the number and quality of your eggs decrease.
  • Fertility begins to decline at 32, and accelerates in your mid-30s.
  • That double-shot espresso you love? Think again. Diet and lifestyle impact your ovarian reserve.
  • The average age of IVF patients is 35 years old. To optimize egg freezing, it means starting earlier than 35 to optimize the number of healthy eggs.

Start owning your fertility now

Step 1

Fertility Consult

First, meet with our Fertility Coach to map out your family planning goals and wellness options. This includes learning about how to preserve your fertility, our reproductive services and the optimal age to freeze your eggs.
For a better understanding of your current fertile health, your Fertility Coach can set up the necessary tests for the next step.

Step 2

Fertility Assessment

Next, meet with one of our doctors, a fertility specialist who will conduct an ultrasound. Combined with the results of your blood test and family history, the ultrasound gives your doc a good picture of your current fertility status. If you’re interested in freezing your eggs, the Fertility Coach will step back in and review all the logistics - services, prices and financing.

Step 3

Fertility Prep

Before starting your cycle, the Fertility Coach will provide fertility nutrition guidelines and order your medications, eliminating the hassle of having to call a million pharmacies. You’ll get our best prices, and the meds will be delivered right to your door.

Step 4

Egg Freezing Cycle

Once all the paperwork’s in place, and your cycle begins, we’ll start the journey! Egg freezing is a two-week process in which your ovaries are stimulated with daily injections to produce multiple follicles, which are then retrieved.
On Day Two of your cycle, you’ll pop by our studio in the morning for a baseline check consisting of blood work and an ultrasound. Based on the results, you’ll likely be given the green light to start your regimen of nightly injections. But don’t panic; we’ll make sure you know how to administer these simple shots.
Throughout the next two weeks, you’ll be taking nightly injections for egg stimulation and visiting the Studio for a blood test and ultrasound every few days. The Fertility Coach will be right there with you, addressing any questions.
For full disclosure, clients are not permitted to work out, smoke or drink during the stimulation & egg retrieval period.
Throughout this process, consider the studio your “home away from home.” Bring your laptop or your BFF to enjoy our lounge and juice bar, and stay as long as you’d like.

Step 5

Egg Retrieval

Toward the end of your cycle, you’ll be “triggered.” This means the process by which your ovaries release the mature follicles.
When this happens, you’ll head to our sister fertility clinic, SIRM-NY, for the egg retrieval. Retrieval is a 15-minute procedure under general anesthesia. Before the egg retrieval, your fertility specialist will provide special instructions including not eating for 8-10 hours beforehand. After the retrieval, you’ll rest and re-hydrate under the care of our fertility specialists for about an hour. In total, you’ll be at SIRM-NY for about three hours, and someone needs to pick you up and take you home. But you’ll be leaving with some potentially very exciting news: your preliminary egg retrieval count!

Step 6

After Care

Once you’re back home, it’s time to kick back and rest. Our egg freezing specialists will give you specific instructions for this time. Most clients feel fatigued and a little crampy post-procedure, and you’ll want to indulge in some major “me time.”
We’ll check in to see how you’re doing, and give you the final egg count. Once you’re feeling like “you” again, we’ll help you start planning what to do with your frozen eggs and creating your future family. Your eggs will be stored for you to access whenever you’re ready for the next step!
